Sacred Heart Strikes a Pose at the ICC

Last week, a group of Year 8 and Year 9 Sacred Heart students took part in a Fashion Show and Auction at the Irish Culture Centre (ICC) in Hammersmith. The event was fully sold out, with people of all ages enjoying canapes, traditional Irish folk and a unique runway show.

Our students were fitted in upcycled pieces and vintage bridal designs from an acclaimed Irish designer, showing-off each piece for the silent auction at the end of the night. The money raised will contribute to the continued support of Irish diaspora through cultural events and education programmes at the centre, as well as its planned expansion.

Make sure to keep an eye out on Connect for the event gallery, which will be published later this week. You can read more about the impact of multigenerational events and resources like the ICC in this article about the Fashion Show and Auction, published by The Irish Times.
