The school highly values the PTFA's fundraising activities and liaises with the PTFA committee about specific projects that need funding. The committee of volunteer parents work hard to set up and manage events to raise funds which go into a PTFA account. The school can make requests to the PTFA for funds and this takes place on an annual basis.
Last year the school received a contribution from the PTFA to help towards the costs of the new chapel furniture and to help with the cost of restoration the cloister garden. The PTFA also paid for a projector and screens for the chapel and a set of iPads for the music department. They also provided funds for a school trip and for new rain shelters for the students which are being installed this term adjacent to the Calder Building.
The PTFA are also funding some requests from academic departments - specifically new PE equipment that can be adapted for children of different heights and some more sewing machines for the Design and Technology dept.
The school has recently had an initial discussion with the PTFA committee about potentially trying to raise funds this year (2024-2025) for a proper all weather sports surface on our netball courts. More information about that to follow.
The PTFA hold a variety of fundraising initiatives throughout the year including for example a quiz night, an auction, the selling of valentine sweet cups, discos for students, etc. PTFA events are included alongside school events in this portal, where tickets can be purchased.

The PTFA have registered Sacred Heart with easyfundraising, which means that over 7,000 brands (including Tesco, Marks & Spence and Boots) will donate to the PTFA every time you use easyfundraising to shop with them.
This initiative raised over £900 for the school last year with relatively few parents signed up.
If you’re not already registered (or were registered but for your Primary School) please visit the easyfundraising page to sign up for donations to come to the PTFA: Easyfundraising for Sacred Heart
