Emotional last day for Year 13

On Thursday 1 May 2025 celebrations were held in honour of our Year 13 students, departing now for study leave before their final exams.

Parents joined us for a Liturgical celebration in the chapel which included an address from the headteacher and speeches from the girls thanking staff for all their support over the years.  Girls were each given a Madeleine Sophie prayer card, a Miraculous Medal and personalised cards from staff and the headteacher.

After the Liturgy, girls and their families poured out into the cloister garden for tea and each student received a cupcake and  keepsake mug describing the symbolism of the school logo. Students wrote farewell messages on the shirts of their friends and later in the evening they all attended a Leavers' Ball.

All girls in Year 13 will be eligible to join our online alumnae network as soon as they are 18.  They will be able to set up personal profiles, upload their photo and reach out to message their friends for years to come. Alumnae reunions and garden parties will follow.  This is not the end, it is just the beginning of the next phase of their lives and we will always be here to welcome them back!

They have benefitted from a Sacred Heart Education which will stay with them for ever. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them and we wish them well as their life journey continues.
