Feast Day 2026

On 25 May, we will celebrate the Feast of St Madeleine Sophie Barat, founder of the Society of the Sacred Heart.

Growing up during the turbulence of the French Revolution, Madeleine Sophie experienced a world marked by fear and uncertainty. At a time when girls were denied opportunity, she believed education would enable women to play a full and vital role in society and help shape a better future for all. This belief lives on in a global network of schools and an international community founded on love, respect, and faith.

St Madeleine Sophie's legacy continues to shape our school today. Inspired by her courage, we encourage our students to be thoughtful and resilient, to stand up for what they believe in, and to make a positive difference in the world.
