Having enjoyed a rest over half term, our Year 11 have now returned to their study of Macbeth as they continue preparing for their GCSE English Literature exams this summer. What better way to immerse themselves in Shakespeare's famous tragedy than with a live performance?
On Tuesday 2 November, The Globe Players visited Sacred Heart to perform their rendition of Macbeth, bringing the text to life and giving students a fresh perspective on the characters, themes and key moments they have been studying in class.
Adding an extra connection to the occasion, The Globe Players was founded by a Sacred Heart alumna! It was wonderful to welcome her back and to see current students benefit from her passion for performance.
