Our chapel was full of heritage lighting experts and electricians all summer, as the old flourescent lights were removed and our new pendant lights were installed. These are copies of pendant lights at St Mary's Cadagon street designed by our chapel's architect, JF Bentley. They are similar in style to bentley's larger pendant lights at Westminster Cathedral.
We found two of our original Bentley brass brackets which were taken away for cleaning and have been returned now and installed either side of the main arch to hold sanctuary lamps.
Our new audio visual system includes a huge automated screen that can be set low for presentations and higher for Mass (well above the altar) if we need the wording for hymns etc. When not in use this retracts behind the main arch and cannot be seen.
The two TV screens from the chapel which cluttered the sanctuary have been removed for use elsewhere in the school.
