We are delighted to announce a new initiative that is being spear-headed by our alumna, Sandra Carvalho. This September, Year 10-13 students will have the opportunity learn about human rights challenges faced by girls globally and engage in lectures and workshops that will further develop their knowledge of international law and human rights.
Sandra is currently completing her training as a barrister and has a passionate conviction to promote career pathways for girls in Law, human rights, diplomacy and international relations. She works on a voluntary basis for the charity - Girls Human Rights Hub, and will help us establish a hub in our school in September. This perfectly aligns with our Sacred Heart Goal for the new academic year, Social Awareness that Impels to Action, encouraging students not only to deepen their understanding of global issues but also to consider how they can contribute to positive change.
