On 10 March, Sheliya P in Year 7 performed on her violin and spoke to the crowd at the iconic Royal Albert Hall to a packed audience, joining 1,500 other young instrumentalists and vocalists as part of the Merton Music Foundation’s Lookin’ Up concert.
The evening celebrated human space exploration and the spirit of endeavour, showcasing performances from a range of London orchestras and choirs, and even featured some special guests: the Doctor Who Daleks!
We are incredibly proud to have such talented musicians within our school community. We’ve been told it was truly an unforgettable experience, and we hope to share Sheliya’s own words on the performance in our end-of-term newsletter.
