Sacred Heart Christian Ballet Society

In preparation for next term's Dance Showcase

The Sacred Heart Christian Ballet Society has been hard at work this past term, perfecting their technique and learning new choreography. Our students have been focusing on their barre work, centre work, and various ballet techniques such as Balanchine, Vaganova, Cecchetti, and Royal Academy of Dance.

In addition to these fundamental skills, our dancers have also had the opportunity to learn a classic solo from Sleeping Beauty - the Blue Bird variation - and are currently working on a choreographic piece inspired by three iconic ballets: Les Patineurs by Frederick Ashton, Appalachian Spring by Martha Graham, and Who Cares by George Balanchine. We are excited to share some of this beautiful choreography with you during next term's dance showcase.
