Harry Potter Studio Tour

In July, the Harry Potter club visited the phenomenal Harry Potter Warner Bros Studio. Jophiel L in Year 8, a prominent member of the club, describes the experience:

The Harry Potter Club went to Warner Bros Studio to study and explore the detailed artwork, costumes, props, and film sets that went into making the Harry Potter film franchise. We visited Privet Drive, where Harry lived under the stairs, saw the huge 3D model of Hogwarts Castle, and stepped inside the Great Hall. We were able to go behind the scenes and see where the actors filmed. We also learnt how various props were made, used during filming, and then broken apart or recycled once shooting had finished. Overall, everything was fascinating, and it felt like we were walking through the real world of Hogwarts!

My favourite part was watching a visual display of a dragon walking through Gringotts Wizarding Bank, staring directly and intensely at the audience while breathing fire! The scene used a combination of smoke, sound effects, and digital visual effects, making everything seem incredibly realistic and terrifying. It was so convincing that many people in the audience screamed in shock!
