On 15 October 2026, our Year 13 geographers set out to Seaford for a two-day residential to gather data for their A Level coursework.
Students put their classroom knowledge into practice on Seaford Beach and at Cuckmere Haven, measuring sediment sizes and beach profiles, and investigating longshore drift. It was the perfect opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of coastal processes through first-hand fieldwork.
Students also visited Seaford Museum to learn about the area's local history, before rounding off the trip with a hike along the cliffs of Seaford Head and, of course, a visit to a local fish and chip shop for a well-earned meal.
