Last Friday, A-Level Physics and BTEC students attended Physics in Action, an inspiring event that takes physics beyond the classroom. Top physicists and expert communicators shared their passion and insight across a range of exciting topics, showing students where physics can take them in study, research, and future careers.
Our Year 13's had the opportunity to talk to leading scientists in fields related to their university course choices next year. Winnie O spoke with Kate Shaw, an Experimental Particle Physicist at the University of Sussex, about space and dark matter. Vannessa NG had a conversation with Anna Ploszajski, a Materials Scientist, about the rapid development of new materials.
The day also included a special session on exam success, giving students practical tools and tips to help them excel in their KS5 exams.
