| Oxbridge |
On Monday 29 June, our Year 10 Oxbridge group took part in a Research Matters workshop at the British Library. Students learned how to design a research project from scratch using original manuscripts and magazines, including the satirical Private Eye and the pioneering feminist publication Spare Rib from the 1970s.
Research skills are essential for a strong Oxbridge application, particularly through an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), which allows students to demonstrate their academic independence and passion for their chosen subject.
As a special treat at the end of the day, students had the opportunity to view several original historical texts on display in the Library, including the Magna Carta!
