Madeleine Sophie Music Competition

On 25th March we were treated to performances from our finalists of the Madeleine Sophie Music Competition. Judges Adonis Alvanis and Avril Moore were incredibly impressed with all of the musicians, their professionalism and sense of performance really shone through. The judges shared that it felt like more of a concert than a competition!

Huge congratulations to all who took part, you were all winners and the judges found it very hard to choose between you!

First and second place winners from each category as below and Ting Ting W (Y13) was the overall winner.

Intermediate Category

1st place, Zoe L (Y7) who sang Somewhere from West Side Story

2nd place, Zoe M (Y7) who sang Never Enough from the Greatest Showman

Advanced Category

1st place, Ting Ting W (Y13) who played Etude No.1 (S. Arriagada) on the flute

2nd place, Stefania O (Y13) who played Praeludium and Allegro (Frtiz Kreisler) on the violin.
