On 13 November 2024, our Year 12 students had the privilege of joining other Year 12 students from girls’ Catholic schools (Marymount International, Gumley House, St Augustine’s Priory and Notre Dame School) at an inspiring conference hosted by Saint Catherine’s School in Twickenham.
Five successful women addressed and delivered workshops to approximately 250 students over the day, covering topics to help us prepare for ‘life beyond school’. Their delivery was engaging and relevant with areas such as women’s health, coercion, relationships and how to stay safe, as well as how to succeed in the 21st century world of work.
Speakers included Caitlin Fawkes, Deputy Head of Counter Terrorism UK, Priya Lakhani, Founder of Century Tech, Dr Kinjal Patel who specialises in women’s health, Libby Flenley, Founder of The Sex, Lies and Love Project and Deana Puccio, Co-founder of the RAP Project.
We are very grateful to Mr Stringer, Head of Sixth Form at St Catherine’s, as well as Mrs McPherson, Headmistress, for hosting us so generously and we look forward to future collaborations.
